Objective:

The Housing Department is responsible for formulating and implementing policies, programs, and regulations to promote affordable, sustainable, and inclusive housing development across the state. The department aims to ensure access to housing for all, with a focus on economically weaker sections (EWS), low-income groups (LIG), and slum rehabilitation, while also facilitating ease of doing business in the housing sector.

• Formulation and Regulation of Housing Policies.
• Implementation of Affordable Housing Schemes.
• Promotion of Rental and Inclusive Housing Models.
• Slum Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Initiatives.
• Land Allocation and Development of Housing Infrastructure.

• Execution of Slum-Free Maharashtra and Urban Renewal Projects.
